Licensing Cheat Sheet

In case the legalese has gone and done your brain in, here's the gist of the licensing agreement in plain English

  • When you buy from us you enter into a licensing agreement.

  • You can't use the royalty-free music license until you have registered.

  • When you register, you can transfer the agreement to someone other than the buyer (as a gift, or if you asked someone else to buy it for you etc). This is the only time you can do this. The registered user is then the only one with the licensing agreement. For infinity. No swapsies.

  • The registered user has to have a major credit in the production for the production to utilise the license (director, producer, editor etc). Ask us if you're not sure.

  • You've got to credit us exactly as specified in the album's notes. It doesn't matter how small a chunk of our sounds you use, or how much you've edited or remixed it. If our work's in there, give us the credit.

  • Online media must credit us with a clearly visible link to our site.

  • You're free to edit, remix and abuse our tracks and stems (but again, remember to credit us).

  • Beyond the original purchase, we forgo the right to any payment from you.

  • HOWEVER, if you break the terms of the licensing agreement you agree to pay fair renumeration.

  • Also, if you misuse our Intellectual Property you agree to pay fair damages.

  • What's misuse? Well for a start, you agree not to distribute, sell or re-license our work, or allow our work to be treated that way by anyone else.

  • You're not buying rights to our Intellectual Property. You gain no ownership over the work purchased.

       That's it! Go and create.
